A fine late-Victorian rose quartz easel clock with an eight-day duration movement.

The round silvered dial has black Roman numerals and blued spade hands.

The oval rose quartz case has verigated patterning throughout and a shaped gilded dial surround with engraved decoration. The rear strut is engraved with the name of the retailer Cockings, Deal.

Richard Cockings is recorded as working in Deal, Kent circa 1874.
