Drocourt, Paris: A Timepiece Gorge Carriage Clock

A Gorge-cased French carriage clock by Alfred Drocourt.
The eight-day duration timepiece movement has the original silvered platform lever escapement and is stamped on the backplate with the serial number 21421 along with the Drocourt trademark being the initials D.C. either side of a clock within an oval.
The movement has a further serial number stamped between the plates, 8078, being that of the blanc roulant and conforms to the sequence as used by Drocourt.
The gilded brass Gorge case has a typical five-bail handle and is stamped with the serial number to the underside of the base.
The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals, diamond and dot markings to the outer aspect, with Arabic outer five-minute numerals and blued steel moon hands.
