A round convex dial wall clock with shaped plates to the eight day timepiece fusee movement. The 11½ inch convex dial is signed 'J. Tolman, Colyton' and has black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands and a cast brass bezel. Contained in a round mahogany case.
John Tolman is recorded as working in the High Street, Colyton, Devon from before 1889 until 1902 and later, after which it is known he opened a shop at 13, Queen Street, Seaton.
