A quite lovely and original small hooded alarm wall clock, the six inch brass dial has a silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, a blued steel 'heart' shaped single hand, a matted centre, cast brass male head spandrels and a silvered alarm disc to the centre. The rope driven thirty hour movement has an anchor escapement and alarm work. Contained in an oak hooded case of good colour with a shaped moulding to the top. Made circa 1740.
