A fine enamel miniature Swiss carriage clock, the eight day movement having a lever escapement with an overcoil hairspring and five spoke wheelwork. Stamped on the backplate with the serial number '12866' and the initials 'JTC' within a shaped cartouche. The gilded silver case is hallmarked and stamped with a repeat of the trademark, the mark for silver-gilt 'Argent d'Ore' and clock serial number '6965'. The case is decorated in fine blue and white enamel over engine turned decoration, with the engine-turned oval silver dial having black Roman numerals, gold spade hands and signed by the retailer 'Hamilton & Co., Calcutta'.
